Schools are becoming more pro-active in supporting their pupils & families in a more effective way. As a freelance counsellor/school support worker, I would work alongside your teaching staff and other support staff to support your pupils and families offering the following services:

Abusive & disruptive behaviour, those at risk of exclusion

1-1 Counselling/Support (For Parents)

Low Self Esteem
Poor Parenting, support with being able to cope with their children
Poor Communication Skills
Family Issues/Step-Family Issues/Fostering
Drugs, Alcohol Issues within the family/children

1-1 Counselling/Support for Teachers & Support Staff

Difficulties with pupils or a particular issue
Teachers & Support Staff
Personal Counselling, especially if it is effecting their work

Family Mediation

Helping parents and their children to work more effectively together.
Improve relationships, learn new skills and coping strategies
